Engineering alumni in the 2013 Waterloo Region 40 Under 40

Waterloo Engineering is pleased to congratulate three alumni named to the Waterloo Region Record's annual 40 Under 40, recognizing young leaders making a difference in our community.

Jeremy Steffler received his BASc in Environmental Engineering in 1999, and an M.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering in 2002. He has since served in a variety of roles at the University of Waterloo, and is currently a faculty relations manager in Co-operative Education and Career Action.

Stephanie Rozek received her BASc in Electrical Engineering in 2000. In addition to operating her own marketing and communications firm, Stephanie is heavily involved in technology, arts, and culture, and is an advocate for increasing the participation of women in technological fields.

Gary Abbott graduated with a BASc in Systems Design Engineering in 2010, and is now a product designer for Desire2Learn. His diverse interests have led to involvement with a variety of groups, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region, JM Drama, and the Waterloo Minor Hockey Association.
