The University of Waterloo’s Faculty of Engineering was recently appointed as a member of Space Canada, the nation’s foremost organization representing Canada’s space innovators and ecosystem.
Space Canada advocates for the prioritization and strengthening of the Canadian space ecosystem to attract investment and help position Canada at the forefront of the highly strategic global New Space Economy.
Launched in March of 2022 by nine founding members, Space Canada has over 50 leading space innovators and organizations from coast to coast as members and associates.
Working alongside Space Canada’s roster of members, researchers from the Faculty of Engineering will be able to design, build and implement innovative new space solutions, from launch to space-based communications, space exploration, environmental monitoring, and Earth observation.
