Management Sciences professor wins best paper award

Parmit Chilana, a management sciences professor, has been honoured with an Association for Computing Machinery's (ACM) CHI conference best

paper award. Chilana's winning paper, co-authored by two University of Washington professors, is entitled From User-Centered to Adoption-Centered Design: A Case Study of an HCI Research Innovation Becoming a Product.

The ACM CHI conference, to be held April 18-24 in Seoul, Korea, is the world's premiere conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems. It showcases advancements in computer science, cognitive psychology, design, social science, human factors, artificial intelligence, graphics, visualization, multi-media design and other disciplines.
