Prof featured in Globe story on the future of driverless cars

Steven Waslander, a mechanical and mechatronics engineering professor at the University of Waterloo, shared his insights on the near future of autonomous and connected cars in a recent article in the Report on Business in the Globe and Mail. 

"The levels of reliability that humans can achieve - we're talking about one death every hundred million miles for drivers in North America - we're nowhere near that with autonomous cars," said Waslander, director of the Waterloo Autonomous Vehicles Laboratory.
