Meet Sebastian Garcia-Marroquin!
Nice to meet everyone! I’m Sebastian and I’m a 3B Chemical Engineering student with a passion for data. I’m also an up-and-coming artist on all streaming platforms. A little bit about me, I am all about manifesting goals and putting in the work to actualizing. I want to spread the message that we can all do what we want in this life and there’s no reason not to try. Everything happens for a reason it will work out. Sending so much love and prosperity to anyone who sees this!
What's your favourite memory of UWaterloo?
Living on residence at Ron Eydt Village (REV) in first year was just a highlight of my life. From the moment I first stepped into REV I was greeted with people who would become intense lifelong friends. The incredible attitude of everyone in that residence made every day feel like right out of a movie with fun and hilarious adventures. My year in REV felt like what University life could be at its best and most enjoyable form.
What were some of your strengths/interests that led to choosing your current program?
My fav Waterloo memory was being able to stay in Waterloo residence and making friends even during the pandemic. Even though our courses were online, I got the opportunity to meet people from different programs and really experience the student life.
Why did you become a student ambassador?
Don’t let your program confine you. The University of Waterloo gives students so many opportunities to explore and learn various skills that don’t even have to be related to your program. This really gives students the opportunity to expand their interests and helps clarify what they might want to do in future.
