Series
continues
with
Dr.
John
Reynolds,
Tom
Buell
BC
Leadership
Chair
in
Aquatic
Conservation,
Simon
Fraser
University.
Dr. Reynolds will deliver a lecture titled: Salmon-fuelled ecosystems of the Great Bear Rainforest.
Dr.
John
Reynolds
is
Professor
of
Aquatic
Ecology
and
Conservation,
and
holds
the
Tom
Buell
BC
Leadership
Chair
in
Aquatic
Conservation
at
Simon
Fraser
University.
While
much
of
John’s
current
research
focuses
on
connections
between
salmon
and
ecosystems
in
British
Columbia,
past
studies
have
ranged
from
mating
systems
of
arctic
birds
to
conservation
of
Cambodian
watersnakes.
John
has
held
a
wide
variety
of
scientific
advisory
positions,
including
co-chair
of
the
sub-committee
that
assesses
extinction
risk
of
marine
fishes
for
COSEWIC,
the
body
that
advises
the
federal
government
on
listing
decisions
for
the
Species
at
Risk
Act.
For
those

lecture.
