From System Design to Intelligence Design. Case study: Smart CMOS Imaging. And From Classical to STEM-blended Engineering Education

In this talk Dr. Fayçal Saffih presents his implementations of intelligence on Silicon Photonics to realize smart CMOS Image sensors from System (chip) level, down to Circuit level and finally down to Device (semiconductor). All these bio-inspired implementations are intended to mimic biological intelligence of vision systems to answer the stringent imaging requirements in biomedical imaging, remote/wireless imaging and inspection and security imaging to name a few applications.
