270 international researchers working on manufacturing of light weight sheet metal parts and processes, with a focus on the automotive sector, are gathering this week in Waterloo for the “International Deep Drawing Research Group Conference”. The conference is chaired by Professors Michael Worswick and Cliff Butcher, of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, and Professor Alex Bardelcik from University of Guelph.
Ventures from the current MBET class will pitch their startups in a fast-paced but friendly pitch competition, vying for $1500 in prizes. Alumni will cast their ballots to choose a winner, followed by refreshments and reconnection with fellow alumni, faculty, and current students.
Alumni investors and alumni start-ups are invited to the fifth event of the Waterloo Alumni Angels in Toronto. We'll be holding our fifth pitch event on June 7 so come out to the event to hear pitches from five of Toronto's most investment-ready startups.
