A researcher and doctoral candidate at Waterloo Engineering will help teach an innovative, multidisciplinary course on climate change.
Shehryar Khan, who works in the field of advanced materials processing, is one of six PhD students – one from each faculty – leading a pilot course called The Wicked Problem of Climate Change for senior undergraduates.
The course is scheduled to begin in Winter 2023, with an enrollment of up to 60 students – 10 from each faculty at the University of Waterloo.
Shehryar, a doctoral candidate in mechanical and mechatronics engineering, is described as one of the top graduate students at the Centre for Advanced Materials Joining (CAMJ), which received national recognition this week for its productive collaborations with dozens of industrial partners.
