Thursday, October 10, 2024 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm EDT (GMT -04:00)The Biomedical Stakeholder Café will be running again this fall to support
capstone teams with a health care problem space hosted by Dr. Kate Mercer and
Dr. Jennifer Howcroft. This event will give participating teams the
opportunity to discuss their problem space with a variety of stakeholders
including family physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, pharmacists,
individuals with lived experiences with diagnoses and disabilities, and more.
We will do our best to match teams with stakeholders who can provide relevant
insight and experiences to inform their problem spaces.
To participate in this event, your capstone team must apply by Sept. 13 and
participate in a mandatory, in-person workshop on how to make the most of
their stakeholder interactions. The workshops will occur on Sept. 24 and
Sept. 26 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Teams only need to attend one workshop.
The Biomedical Stakeholder Café will run on Oct. 9 and Oct. 10 from 5:00 to
6:30 pm. If you want more information, please contact Dr. Jennifer Howcroft
at jenny.howcroft@uwaterloo.ca.
This project is funded by the Department of Systems Design Engineering and
the Dean’s Office.
