Quiet study spaces are intended for individual study, while Open Study spaces may include a mix of individual study and group meetings. There are spaces situated in CPH, DWE, E2, E3, E7, and RCH.

Departments may also provide designated study spaces for their students. Students should check with their Academic Advisors as they likely know whether meeting rooms are made available for quiet study.
There are also several Engineering Computer Labs available for study and work.
Noise and Other Distractions
We are aware of issues around noise from extra-curricular groups, particularly in E7, and are looking into what can reasonably be done in shared spaces during exam times. We are mindful that University of Waterloo is a public institution with expectations that spaces be shared. We recommend that you use the quiet study rooms, as available.
