Feb. 22, 2017 Remembering former Memorial engineering dean with Waterloo ties

Angus Bruneau, the founding dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University, died February 19 at the age of 81.

Bruneau is remembered as an extraordinary visionary who made many significant contributions to Memorial during his tenure as dean from 1969 to 1974.

Three researchers at Waterloo Engineering are receiving a total of almost $1.7 million in federal funding for strategic projects in collaboration with industry partners and other organizations.

Zhongwei Chen, Dana Kulić and Norman Zhou are among five University of Waterloo researchers in line for more than $3 million from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
