Engineering student earns Velocity startup investment

A startup company co-founded by a Waterloo Engineering student was one of four winners at the recent Velocity Fund Pitch Competition.

Philip Scott, who is studying software engineering, is CEO of Tutturu.tv, which helps people have meaningful social experiences in a remote world via virtual browsing.

“Forget about downloading apps or signing up for accounts,” he said in a pitch that earned the startup a $50,000 pre-seed investment.
