Mechanical graduate students win their way to Italy

Four mechanical engineering graduate students at Waterloo Engineering earned a week-long trip to Italy this month through an awards program focused on innovation in a range of manufacturing sectors.

The Italian Technology Awards welcomed more than 50 grad students and professors from 10 countries to Milan for events including workshops at post-secondary institutions and visits to leading technology and manufacturing companies.

Accompanied by Professor John Montesano, the four student winners from Waterloo were Devon Hartlen, Hossein Pishyar, Raphael Boulis and Bruna Do Nascimento Figueredo.
