Waterloo Engineering has named a room in Engineering 3 the Ralph Haas Infrastructure and Sensing Analysis Laboratory in recognition of Ralph Haas, distinguished professor emeritus of civil engineering.

“I am delighted the University is able to show its appreciation of Ralph’s Ralph Haasenormous achievements in the field of pavement and transportation technology by naming this laboratory in his honour," said Pearl Sullivan, dean of engineering. 

Jennifer Howcroft, a systems design engineering graduate student, is one of just two doctoral students in Canada chosen to receive a $15,000 Jennifer HowcroftScholar Award from the P.E.O. Sisterhood. A total of 90 students across the U.S.
