Canada in a World Without Rules

The post war framework of agreements to regulate foreign trade has effectively collapsed. The current US government no longer considers itself bound by any past arrangement or understanding, believing its size allows it to act unilaterally in its own immediate self-interest.

Where does this leave Canada with its highly trade-dependent economy?

The immediate effects on the Canadian economy will be discussed along with the strategies that a crafty Canadian government could pursue in the current situation.
