All laboratory work carries with it the potential to cause significant harm to you and those around you. The University has developed several lab safety programs that aim to eliminate or reduce the risk that laboratory work poses to researchers, workers, students, and any other person exposed to the hazards laboratory work creates. All laboratory work at the University of Waterloo must follow the applicable programs and guidelines below.
