There is also an online educational resource called eOfficeErgo: Ergonomics e-Learning for Office Workers. This is an evidence-based and standard-compliant online training program designed for employees who regularly use computers on the job. Please visit their website for more information. *NOTE: this will not be tracked as a Waterloo course. Therefore, please print a proof of training for department purposes.
Before requesting an ergonomic assessment, we advise you to:
Step 1: Navigate through the ergonomic program website.
Step 2: Implement the contents of the ergonomic program that apply to your workplace.
Step 3: Try out the new setup for a week.
By applying the information to your workplace, it optimises your workplace environment and setup. The new change should be sufficient to make an ergonomic assessment redundant. Implementing the content also allows us to be more efficient when conducting the actual assessment if needed.
