Employees whose risk has been assessed to involve exposure to noisy tools, processes, or environments (e.g., CEE technicians who work with concrete)

Training content
This training covers the following basic concepts associated with understanding and evaluating noise exposure:
- The definition of sound and noise
- Why we use the decibel as a unit to measure sound exposure
- Why frequency is considered when determining noise exposure
- Occupational noise exposure limits
- Using the hierarchy of controls to reduce noise exposures
- The University of Waterloo’s processes related to noise and hearing conservation
Registration
