This is a terrific opportunity to reconnect with friends and classmates as well as to meet the new Dean of Engineering, Dr. Pearl Sullivan, and the new Director of Advancement, Martha Nelson.

WE Innovate is the year's biggest showcase of Waterloo Engineering innovation. Our world class researchers will be displaying emerging research in engineering - cutting edge technology that will shape the world of tomorrow.
Industry partners, students and anyone passionate about innovation is welcome to attend. The event will be hosted in the student design centre of Engineering 5 on campus. Last year's event showcased more than 50 exhibitors.

As students return to school, Waterloo Collegiate Institute's Janelle Tam was featured in the September 4 edition of Premier Dalton McGuinty's blog. Janelle is the daughter of Dr. Michael Tam, a faculty member in Waterloo's Department of Chemical Engineering and a member of the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology.

Explore the exciting field of engineering through this special event for girls! Meet women currently studying engineering, learn about some of the amazing things women engineers are doing, and participate in a cool hands-on activity. Go Eng Girl is an exciting opportunity for Grade 7 - 10 girls across Ontario to visit their local university to learn about the wonderful world of engineering: "A Caring Profession".
Engineering's alumni list officially increased June 16 with the convocation of 1,359 students in two ceremonies. Highlights included the first class of 40 management engineering students receiving their degrees. The management engineering program was established in 2007 to provide undergraduate students with the "engineering education required to understand, design, implement, and manage complex management systems upon which organizations depend."
Dr. Trevor Dickinson, University of Guelph, will deliver a seminar titled "How rising temperatures have changed winter hydrology across Ontario."
