Register now for March Break Open House!

Visit the University of Waterloo and find out more about what Engineering has to offer prospective undergraduate students. Drop in on the welcome booth in Engineering 7 to pick up your event guide and start the day's activities. 

Engineering activities running throughout the day include: 

  • Information sessions:
    • Program-specific - find out more about your program of interest at an information session. Sessions run throughout the day with multiple sessions for each department (see schedule below). 
    • Admissions update sessions and an admissions information session for future applicants.
    • Student experience panel  - hear from current Engineering students at the University of Waterloo.
    • Women in Engineering real talk panel and Q&A.
  • Tours:
    • General Engineering tours - go on a tour of the Engineering buildings, new and old, lead by a current Engineering student tour guide.
    • Women in Engineering Living-Learning Community (LLC) tours - drop in to United College for a tour of the living-learning community exclusive to Women in Engineering.
    • Nanotechnology Engineering lab tours - receive a tour of the Mike & Ophelia Lazaridis Quantum-Nano Centre (QNC).
    • Environmental, Geological, Civil, and Architectural Engineering tours - receive a tour of the labs and work spaces available for students in these programs.
    • Neural and Rehabilitation Engineering lab tours - drop in to the Neural and Rehabilitation Engineering lab in E7 for a tour!
    • Waterloo Microfluidics Laboratory (WML) lab tours - drop in to the Waterloo Microfluidics Laboratory (WML) lab in E5 for a tour!
  • Information fair - speak to representatives from all 15 departments, cooperative education, international exchange, and more!
  • Student Design Team fair - walk through the Sedra Student Design Centre as the student design teams showcase their projects.

There are many other events happening campus-wide for March Break Open House, including residence tours, university and colleges tours, information sessions, a student services fair, athletics and recreation facilities tours, and campus-wide tours.

Engineering Sessions and Activities

All information sessions are 30 minutes unless otherwise noted.

Sessions and tours take place in Engineering 5 (E5), Engineering 7 (E7), Douglas Wright Engineering (DWE), Quantum-Nano Centre (QNC), and United College. Sessions and tours for the Architecture program take place at the School of Architecture Campus (ARC), 7 Melville Street South, Cambridge.
