NSERC, CIHR, and SSHRC are referred to collectively as the Tri-Agency and these terms are used interchangably below. 

Who should complete this form?

Any UWaterloo graduate students currently in a Engineering PhD program (or planning to join a Engineering PhD program before Winter 2024) and are Canadian or Permanent Residents.

What will happen next?

GSPA is holding an awards webinar and live chats to help students. You can attend live or check your e-mail for a copy of the video & FAQs coming in late September.

Everyone who responds to this form will be contacted in late-September with:

• A collection best practices and strategies for effect award application & grant proposal writing
• Sample NSERC award applications with notes from experts as a resource for completing your own application
• Announcements of upcoming awards advising opportunities for the your application's research proposals.
