How to Apply for Your Coursework Masters at Waterloo Engineering
While specific admissions requirements vary by department, the professional master’s programs at Waterloo generally require a background in a relevant four-year Honours Bachelor's degree or equivalent program, with a standing of 75% or higher either in the last two years or overall, depending on your chosen department.
Regardless of whether you intend to pursue a coursework MEng, MEng Co-Op, MMsc or specialized interdisciplinary MEng degree (such as the Collaborative Masters of Engineering Program in Health Technologies), the base admissions requirements are the same. However, some Engineering departments have unique admissions requirements, and different departments ask different Program-Specific Questions (PSQ) in your application, so you should review your departmental Admission Requirements in advance to make sure you are prepared to apply.
The application deadlines are June 1 (for September admission), October 1 (for January admission) and February 1 (for May admission).
We recommend you apply at least two to four weeks ahead of the application deadline to ensure there is enough time to work on your Supplementary Information Form, upload your supporting documents and for your referees to submit their reference forms.
