Engineering grad named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40

A leading biotechnologist who earned his engineering degree at Waterloo is one of this year’s Top 40 Under 40 for the country.

Vikramaditya G. Yadav (BASc '07, chemical engineering) is an associate professor at the University of British Columbia, where he directs its Master of

Engineering Leadership program in sustainable process engineering.

An expert in biotechnology, he has made notable contributions to research, education, commercialization and regulation of synthetic biology.

Yadav is the chief executive officer of Tersa Earth, a mining biotechnology company, and founded Metabolik Technologies Inc., which was acquired by Allonnia, a Bill Gates-backed company.
