In the Innovative Design category, Daniel Puratich (electrical and electronics engineering), Marko Vehauc, Nathan Green, Megan Spee and Georgia Vachon Westerlund (mechatronics engineering) earned second place.

Flora Wu, Divhleen Ruprai and San Basnet (nanotechnology engineering) claimed third place in the same category.

Next year, Waterloo will welcome the country's top engineering students to campus as host of the 2027 Canadian Engineering Competition.
