Three Waterloo Engineering researchers are among 11 campus-wide to receive Early Researcher Awards worth over $2 million.
The announcement made March 2 is part of a larger investment by the Government of Ontario aimed at supporting research and innovative discoveries across Ontario. Each engineering researcher will receive $140,000 over five years as well as an additional $50,000 from the University. They are:
- Wojciech Golab (Electrical and Computer Engineering): Software techniques for emerging memory technologies
- Ning Jiang (System Design Engineering): Brain-computer interfacing: Where artificial intelligence meets human intelligence
- Youngki Yoon (Electrical and Computer Engineering): Flexible photo sensors based on 2D nanomaterials for internet of things and wearable electronic applications
