Researchers at Waterloo Engineering are involved in seven projects receiving more than $175,000 in funding under a program to encourage international collaborations.
Their projects are among 10 campus-wide announced in the latest round of International Research Partnership Grants funded by the University of Waterloo and global partner institutions.
The engineering researchers are:
- Eihab Abdel-Rahman (systems design engineering) and Mustafa Yavuz (mechanical and mechatronics engineering) for a partnership with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
- Catherine Burns (systems design engineering) for a partnership with the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
- Anne Bordeleau (architecture) and several Waterloo colleagues for a partnership with the University of Oxford and Manchester Metropolitan University.
- Elizabeth English (architecture) and Sriram Narasimhan (civil and environmental engineering) and a Waterloo colleague for a partnership with RWTH Aachen University, Warsaw University of Technology, TU Delft, Can Tho University and Thammasat University.
- Pin-Han Ho (electrical and computer engineering) and Shunde Yin (civil engineering) for a partnership with Kyungpook University.
- Sushanta Mitra (mechanical and mechatronics engineering) and Kyle Daun (mechanical and mechatronics engineering) for a partnership with the Centre of Nanointegration Duisburg-Essen and the University of Duisburg-Essen.
- Scott Walbridge, Mahesh Pandey, Robert Gracie and Carl Haas (all civil and environmental engineering) for a partnership with TH Mittelhessen.
