Grad student wins hydrotechnical engineering award

Peter Thompson has been selected as the winner of the 2014 CSCE Hydrotechnical Engineering Award for the best masters’ thesis at a Canadian University related to water resource engineering and water management.  The award, sponsored by Golder Associates Ltd., is in recognition of Thompson's civil engineering thesis work entitled: Event Based Characterization of Hydrologic Change in Urbanizing Southern Ontario Watersheds via High Resolution Stream Gauge Data.  The award will be presented at the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering annual conference to be held in Halifax at the end of May.
