Mike McCauley, co-founder of Buffer Box, has been named the Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce. He was honoured at the chamber's Business Excellence Awards dinner held February 20 in Kitchener.
McCauley, Aditya Bali and Jay Shah started BufferBox as a mechatronics engineering Capstone Design project after McCauley came home one day to find that he had missed a parcel because he couldn’t be around when it was delivered.
The award-winning company that allows people to pick up parcels from secure kiosks 24/7 was acquired by Google in 2012.
