Apratim Chakraborty
“never-give-up mentality, above-and-beyond learning attitude, and excellent communication skills” in teaching.

He is known for always being available to his students and engaged in their learning.

When asked what makes Chakraborty an exceptional teacher, one student replied that while “humility, kindness and diligence” sets him apart as a teaching assistant, what sets him above is his “compassion and care for the students he helps.”

A faculty member commented that Chakraborty has “the potential to become an excellent university-level instructor in the near future.”

Chakraborty, one of four recipients of this year’s exceptional student teaching award, will be officially recognized at Spring Convocation in June.
