Musselman, a mechanical and mechatronics engineering professor and a member of the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology, began a five-year term as a University of Waterloo Endowed Chair in Nanotechnology on Nov. 1. He is one of three chairholders.
Musselman's research has helped to pioneer the application of spatial-atomic-layer-deposition thin films in a variety of applications, including photovoltaics, chemical sensors, LEDs, memristors, high-frequency diodes and antimicrobial coatings.
His work on spatial atomic layer deposition has been recognized with research excellence awards from the University of Waterloo, the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology and the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation.
