Robot Racing competition comes home to Waterloo

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

On Saturday July 26, Waterloo will host the International Autonomous Robot Racing Competition (IARRC). Four student teams will participate this year, including the UWaterloo Robotics Team.

Autonomous robot made by Waterloo's Robotics Team.
Each team designed and built an autonomous robot that can race and defeat obstacles, without any external help. It’s a valuable experience with technology used in real-world scenarios, including space exploration.

This experience serves [students] very well in industry, where teamwork, flexibility and working under pressure are essential to a successful career.
