Safieddin
Safavi-Naeini,
an
electrical
and
computer
engineering
professor,
became
an
IEEE
Fellow
at
the
beginning
of
January
for
his
contributions
to
gigahertz
to
terahertz
integrated
antenna
systems.
Recipients
of
the
fellowship,
one
of
the
most
prestigious
honours
of
the
IEEE,
are
limited
to
members
who
have
made
outstanding
contributions
to
the
electrical
and
information
technologies
and
sciences
for
the
benefit
of
humanity
and
the
profession.
Safavi-Naeini
is
the
NSERC-BlackBerry
Industrial
Research
Chair
and
the
director
of
the
University
of
Waterloo's Centre
for
Intelligent
Antennas
and
Radio
Systems.
