Waterloo Engineering is continuing its climb up annual rankings by Times Higher Education of the best engineering schools in the world.
In results released by the United Kingdom publisher today, Waterloo took the 76th spot for 2022, up from 82nd last year and 89th in 2020.
Almost 1,200 universities from 85 countries qualified for the rankings, which analyzed general engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, civil engineering and chemical engineering. Other engineering disciplines weren’t included.
A weighted ranking system looked at teaching (30 per cent), research (30 per cent), citations (27.5 per cent), international outlook (7.5 per cent) and industry income (five per cent).
