NSERC Discovery deadlines for 2017-18 competition
The Engineering Research Office and the Office of Research will share the same draft review deadlines for the upcoming Discovery Grant competition. As we anticipate over 60 applications every year, early draft submissions are strongly encouraged. Please send draft proposals to both eng.research@uwaterloo.ca and uwnserc@uwaterloo.ca on or before the dates below.
NOTE: NSERC Discovery NOIs are always due August 1st.
September 29 - DRAFT review for new and previously unsuccessful
October 13 - DRAFT review for renewing applicants
October 30 - Hard deadline at UW - All applicants - FULL proposal submission to the Office of Research with ADR signatures (cover sheet)
On-line status must be in "Received by Administrator".
Note: When you hit "Submit" button, your application goes to the Office of Research, not NSERC, and the application status changes to "Received by Administrator".
November 1st - FINAL submission by the Office of Research to NSERC (on-line status must be in "Submitted")
* the Engineering Research Office FINAL submission deadline precedes the Office of Research deadline by 48 hours to allow time for final review (for completion) and processing.
