This page covers admission requirements for students currently enrolled in an Ontario high school.
Admission requirements and procedures vary so determine your applicant type based on your current academic status.
How to apply
All Ontario high school students submit their applications through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre using the OUAC 101 form. Students must receive a pin number from their guidance office in order to access the application.
As an Ontario student, all grades will be sent electronically by your school. Check out our admissions timeline and deadlines page.
Course requirements
All Ontario students must complete six 4U, or 4M courses to be eligible for admission. Specific courses required include:
- Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
- Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U)
- Chemistry (SCH4U)
- Physics (SPH4U)
- English (ENG4U)
A minimum final grade of 70% is required in each of these courses. Review our required admission averages.
Other requirements
All applicants to engineering programs will be asked to submit a personal profile, called the Admission Information Form (AIF).
Applicants to Software Engineering are also required to have experience developing well-structured, modular programs. Learn more about our required programming experience.
If your first language is not English, you may need to meet our English language requirements.
