Conrad Grebel University College seeks to fill a full-time faculty position in Musicology to begin July 1, 2018. The successful candidate will assume a new position created following the retirement in June of long-time Music professor Dr. Kenneth Hull.

This position requires a candidate with teaching and scholarship expertise in Music History, as well as one or more of the following areas:  church music and worship, sacred music, and music in religious traditions. The College also seeks someone able to lead one of the music ensembles in the Music Department and mentor students in practical skills related to music and worship.

The mission of the Department of Music is to engage students in the study of music within the context of the liberal arts, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and a multi-dimensional understanding of music that are appropriate to their particular interest in and commitment to the discipline, and that will allow them to move successfully into careers in a variety of professional areas. The music program explores the many ways that music is meaningful in today’s world through a flexible program combining theory, studio, performance and history.
