Convocation Celebration

Our Convocation Celebration will take place on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 2pm. At the Theatre of the Arts. For all students who have or are completing studies, and plan to graduate, in Fall 2021, Winter 2022, Spring 2022 or Fall 2022.

Grebel Convocation will take place at two locations in-person. Students and two of their invited guests will celebrate at The Theatre of the Arts. This event will be professionally filmed and live-streamed back to the Grebel dining room where additional guests will take part in a Community virtual celebration.  The event will also be available on YouTube for guests who wish to join from home.  At each of our in-person live event venues, masks will be worn by audience members at all times and vaccination QR codes will be verified upon entry to the venue. 

Seating is available at all in-person events by reservation only. To register for the Grebel Community Live-Stream event complete this form. Registration for the Theatre of the Arts live event is only available through the Graduating students. 

Following the celebration Guests and Students will join together at Grebel for visiting and photos, no food or drink will be served, guests are welcome to enjoy being in the Grebel space that has been their student's educational home the last few years. 

We are excited to celebrate this milestone in our students' lives, we look forward to seeing you in person, or online as we celebrate the achievements of our Class of 2022. 

Convocation Parking

Grebel & St. Paul’s — Limited capacity free parking. 10 minute walk to Theatre of the Arts.

D Lot — $5 exit fee payable by credit card only. 3 minute walk to Theatre of the Arts.

H Lot — $5 exit fee payable by credit card only. 8 minute walk to Theatre of the Arts. 10 minute walk to Grebel.

C Lot — $5 pay and display by credit card only. 10 minute walk to Theatre of the Arts. 12 minute walk to Grebel.

Convocation Celebration Reception

Following the Convocation Celebration Graduands and their guests are welcome to gather at Grebel for photos and visiting. Masks will be worn by everyone at all times. No food or drinks will be served.

Deadlines

All students intending to Graduation from University of Waterloo and Conrad Grebel must complete BOTH the University of Waterloo Intention to Graduate form AS WELL AS the Conrad Grebel Convocation Form by March 1, 2022.

To be considered for or to participate in the selection of Grebel's 2021 undergraduate Valedictorian, you must submit Grebel's Convocation form by March 1. On March 3, you will be notified of participating undergrads for the purpose of nominating a valedictorian. Nominations will close on March 5.

If someone you know is planning to graduate and they haven’t received an email from Pam Bartel (Residence/Associate); Claudia Van Decker (Music), Brendah Ndagire (PACS), Seth Ratzlaff (MPACS) or Birgit Moscinski or Rebekah Smoot-Enns (MTS), have them contact their respective Administrative Assistant or let one of us know to contact them.
