Your support makes a difference!

Each year hundreds of alumni, friends, parents, businesses and foundations who have a passion for peace, music, theology, and students support Conrad Grebel with charitable donations. Learn more about how you can support our programs through the Grebel Fund.

We also have a variety of endowments that support student awards and endowments that permanently support our academic programs.

Please see our Planned giving webpage for more information on setting up a named scholarship award or details on supporting our program endowments.

Kyung Young KimComing from a Mennonite background, meeting a diverse group of colleagues and sharing ideas has been one of the highlights of my experience in the MTS program. It always excites me to participate in discussions, hear and exchange different ideas, and grow together in our understanding. The program and professors offer more than just lectures, as a good proportion of the courses involve hands-on experience and applying what we learn to a real ministry setting. Doing my ministry placement with the young adult ministry on campus has been another recent highlight of my experience in MTS. And thanks to Grebel scholarships, I’ve been able to follow my interests and take intensive courses, enroll in ministry placements, and spend more time with my classmates and professors.

— Kyung Young Kim, Master of Theological Studies

I chose to live at Grebel because of the Music Living-Learning Community, and it turns out I hit the jackpot! Arriving from Indonesia, I was moved by how friendly and helpful people at Grebel were. I wasn’t great at speaking English, but the open doors and fill the table tradition really helped. My friends and parents said that they can feel the family and community atmosphere here too!

— Niki Natassja, Music, Arts and Business

Jonathan Smith

Through Grebel, I’ve found some of my closest friends and most interesting projects. I’ve been challenged to consider the intersection of peace-building, technology, and the world. Grebel’s Peace and Engineering course with Paul Heidebrecht was one of the most interactive and challenging experiences I’ve had at Waterloo. With such a diverse group of students, everyone from international development specialists to civil engineers, we were able to expand our view of how technology affects the world.
