A third-year student at the School of Architecture will have her work showcased at an upcoming trade show in Toronto after taking first place in a province-wide design contest.

Padmini  (Penny) Unni won $1,500 and other prizes in a competition sponsored by Formica Canada Inc., which makes commercial and residential surfacing products, to design its booth for the Architect@Workshow April 3 and 4.

Unni won the contest, which was open to interior design and architecture students in Ontario, with a “unique, bold concept that highlights Formica’s new products in an elegant and modern way.”
