Biography

Stan Dimitrov is a Professor in Management Sciences at the University of Waterloo.

His research primarily focuses on the interface of operations research and information systems. Specifically speaking, Professor Dimitrov is interested in sustainable operations management, business data analytics, mechanism design, prediction markets, game theory, nonlinear optimization, and network design. He is interested in addressing problems in industry related to pricing, process improvement, and customer relationship management. He has received funding from NSERC, SSHRC, Mitacs, and the University of Waterloo.

Scholarly Research

Study how sustainable operations develop and change as business operating environments change over time. Develop new methods for addressing questions from data generated in day-to-day business operations. Designing and understanding incentives within organizations and processes. Designing and developing methods for eliciting and capturing preferences within decision making.
