Alumni Lecture: Sam Emaminejad discusses biosensors for wearable medical devices

During this lecture, Sam Emaminejad (BASc '09), Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering at UCLA, will discuss his research of biomarker monitoring platforms, his education and career path, and provide any advice he may have for students for their academics and careers.

Chamath Palihapitiya kept it light but heartfelt when he was announced today as the largest private donor to the new Pearl Sullivan Engineering (PSE) building as hundreds of people gathered to celebrate its official opening.

A 1999 graduate of Waterloo Engineering who went on to tremendous success in business, Palihapitiya got a laugh when he joked via video clip about not being able to attend the event in person because an injury had forced him to fill in for the Golden State Warriors, the NBA basketball team he partly owns.
