The University of Waterloo School of Architecture will mark the fortieth anniversary of its Rome Programme with a four-day celebration that will allow alumni to recall their time in the eternal city and experience some of the many changes that have taken place recently. The events take place in Rome starting with a reception at the Waterloo Studio on Wednesday October 30, finishing with a gala dinner on evening of Saturday November 2. In between you can select tours to Tivoli and walks in Rome, as well as a symposium, a concert and an evening reception on a terrace overlooking the Imperial Fora. We are expecting a large crowd and do have limited capacity in some events, so please book early and choose the events you wish to attend.

Guest speakers will look back on the history of the Welding Specialization, CAMJ, recent achievements, and look to the future of welding in Canada.

Hosted by Waterloo Engineering, the Waterloo High School Electric Vehicle (EV) Challenge encourages students to design and test their own electric car in an annual endurance competition

The Ontario Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (AMC), a joint partnership between McMaster University, University of Waterloo, and Western University, is helping to accelerate industry adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, which will create jobs and strengthen the province’s reputation as a leading manufacturing region.

Since AMC was launched in April 2017, nearly 100 companies have benefited from the advanced manufacturing experts and state-of-the-art facilities at Waterloo. 

As part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series Slobodan Simonovic, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Western University, will present "Use of quantitative resilience in managing urban infrastructure response to natural hazards."
