Waterloo Engineering students and alumni are invited to participate in an exclusive virtual Office Hour with Waterloo Engineering alumnus Ankit Patel (BASc '06, Computer Engineering), senior vice president at Foursquare.

During this Office Hour, Ankit Patel will talk about his unique career journey since graduating in 2006 from the computer engineering program at the University of Waterloo. Ankit will walk through his 15 years of experience as a builder of computer hardware and software. He started out as a hardware guru at Intel, moved onto Amazon to build software in several different capacities, and then worked as general manager of IoT Cloud for Amazon Web Services. He currently builds an innovative location technology platform at Foursquare as senior vice president of engineering and is focusing on driving a culture of builders and pioneers.

Biography

Ankit Patel is the senior vice president of engineering at Foursquare, where he's tasked with accelerating the offerings Foursquare provides to every vertical, customer, and partner. Ankit is also helping to drive a culture of builders and pioneers within the company. Ankit holds a bachelor’s degree of applied science from the University of Waterloo.
