Your Ideas, Your Intellectual Property
At Waterloo Engineering, we think graduate students should have ownership over what they create. The ideas that PhD and MASc students develop during their studies are their own intellectual property; our policy gives creators 100% ownership over the ideas and technology they produce. This gives our students the control to patent or license their ideas, to commercialize them, or even start their own company.
If unanswered questions motivate you and collaboration with brilliant colleagues inspires you, Waterloo Engineering offers your ideal path forward. Our graduate programs invite exceptional people like you to advance solutions for real-world problems.
