Three entrepreneurs from Waterloo Engineering are members of the new class of The Next 36 (N36), a Canadian program that provides  academic instruction, business mentorship and venture building.

Sriram Narasimhan, Canada Research Chair in Smart Infrastructure and professor cross-appointed to the departments of civil and environmental engineering and mechanical and mechatronics engineering, is the recipient of $100,000 in funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI). 

Bill B. Anderson and Peter Huck, both civil and environmental engineering professors, and Barbara Siembida-Lösch, a former post-doctoral fellow, are the recipients of the American Water Works Association's 2015 Membrane Treatment Best Paper Award.

Portal is launching in the Faculty of Engineering this month. All students in Engineering programs, both undergraduate and graduate, will receive an email invitation to access the student portal starting this month.
