All Systems Design Engineering alumni are invited back to campus for our annual Systems Design / Biomedical Engineering lunch, lecture, and capstone design symposium. Join us for a complimentary lunch, reconnect with the department, and enjoy a cutting-edge research presentation exclusively for Systems Design Engineering alumni. 

The University of Waterloo School of Architecture will mark the fortieth anniversary of its Rome Programme with a four-day celebration that will allow alumni to recall their time in the eternal city and experience some of the many changes that have taken place recently. The events take place in Rome starting with a reception at the Waterloo Studio on Wednesday October 30, finishing with a gala dinner on evening of Saturday November 2. In between you can select tours to Tivoli and walks in Rome, as well as a symposium, a concert and an evening reception on a terrace overlooking the Imperial Fora. We are expecting a large crowd and do have limited capacity in some events, so please book early and choose the events you wish to attend.

UW Formula Motorsports is proud to unveil our 2019 formula-style race car!

Our car will be competition-ready and on display from 12pm-6pm. The event has an open schedule so you can drop by any time during the 6 hours! Come check out the car speak to the team about all the hard work they've put in!

Software Engineering's Capstone Design Symposium will feature 25 unique software projects involving everything from food and sports to lane detection and breast cancer research.

Management Engineering's Capstone Design Symposium will showcase thoughtful and business savvy projects, both geared towards the individual (e.g. Gymy assists individuals with meeting their fitness goals), and towards the corporate customer (e.g. TestToad helps companies find willing test subjects within their desired demographic). Electrical & Computer Engineering's Capstone Design Symposium features over 70 unique research projects, some of which include impactful technology to assist vision and hearing impaired persons, injured persons, and medical professionals. There will be lots to discover and explore at Civil, Environmental & Geological Engineering's Capstone Design Symposium. Dozens of projects will display everything from local transportation issues to the colonization of Mars.
