End of Term Concert

5 different ICE groups will perform a wide variety of classical music pieces.  Composers range from Mozart to Handel to Russell Peterson, so there will be something for everybody's taste.  Participating students are from multiple departments, including Computer Science, Engineering, and Music.

The fall Chamber Choir program explores themes of light and night in music that spans five hundred years, written by composers such as Palestrina, Josquin and Victoria of the Renaissance and Eric Whitacre, Ēriks Ešenvalds, and Sarah Quartel of our own time.
The Choir will be accompanied by  Madeline Weber, piano and a string quartet:
Karen Fu (violin), Frank Wang (violin), Ewan Simms (viola) and Robert Choi (cello)

End of Term Concert

Come and join the University Choir as they explore themes of winter through works by G.F. Handel, Randall Stroope, Edward Elgar, Randall Thompson, and many more.  Whether surrounded by the joyous runs of For Unto Us a Child is Born or the whistling wind of Rajaton's Pakkanen, there is sure to be a piece for everyone.

Balinese Gamelan Concert

Please join us for the end of term concert at Knox Presbyterian Church on Friday, November 25 at 7:30pm.  Gamelan ensembles are primarily percussive instruments made of bronze and bamboo  but  may include drums, flutes, strings, and voice. An oral tradition taught and learned collectively, repertoire is transmitted in a group setting without the use of sheet music. Directed by Balinese artist I Dewa Made Suparta since 2014, the students experience a communal process of creating music while also learning about the culture of Bali. See a brief interview with I Dewa Made Suparta explaining the Gamelan.
