Orchestra@UWaterloo End of Term Concert

Orchestra 1st violinsPlease join us for the online premiere of the Orchestra@UWaterloo Fall Term concert.  The orchestra is directed by Daniel Warren, and this term consists of string players only.  Members include undergraduate students, grad students, staff, and alumni.

Orchestra@UWaterloo is pleased to present a concert featuring our magnificent string section in a selection of works ranging from the Baroque to the romantic.

The program includes Tchaikovsky‘s string Serenade, the incomparable Mozart’s divertimento in D major (K. 137) as well as a transcription of a string Quartet by Puccini entitled Chrysanthemums.

Ashley Yip, the Winner of the 2020 Concerto & Aria competition will perform a solo with the orchestra.  She will be playing the Chaconne for Violin and Strings, by Vitali.
