The University of Waterloo Chamber Choir performs "Earth Teach Me", a concert of choral works reminding us of the fragility of our land. The concert includes works by Arvo Part, Veljo Tormis, Alberto Grau, Stephen Paulus, and Leonard Enns. Directed by Mark Vuorinen.
Carmina Burana, composed by Carl Orff and performed by the University of Waterloo Choir. This version includes two pianos, five percussionists, and the Inter Mennonite Children's Choir. Directed by Dr. Gerard Yun.
Dr. Yasmin Saikia is the Hardt-Nickachos Chair in Peace Studies and Professor of History at the Center for the Study of Religion and Conflict at Arizona State University. Her recent book Women, War and the Making of Bangladesh: Remembering 1971 (2011) has won numerous awards and been the subject of an international speaking tour.
